Jul 18, 2017

The Hume Center leads Virginia Tech's research, education, and outreach programs focused on the challenges of cybersecurity and autonomy in the context of national and homeland security. We are currently seeking qualified individuals to join the research teams in our Aerospace Systems Lab, Electronic Systems Lab, and Information Systems Lab. The Center has open positions for researchers and associate professors in all three of our labs, and for a program manager and an administrative assistant to support the office in Blacksburg.

In addition to the opportunity to work on projects in electronic warfare and SIGINT, cyber-physical systems security, and cubesat and other small satellite constellation design, Virginia Tech offers a comprehensive benefits package. The university provides tuition waivers and tuition assistance that allow employees and their spouses and children to pursue any of the undergraduate or advanced degrees offered at Virginia Tech. Employees also have access to a variety of health and life insurance plans, retirement savings options and retirement planning counselors, generous paid and sick leave, and discounts on goods and services located near campuses in Blacksburg and the National Capital Region. The Virginia Tech Human Resources website provides a comprehensive listing of the benefits available to employees.
